The Weasleys were all at the Burrow, the day after Christmas- Fred and Georges birthday. All the christmas decorations were still up, complete with tree, but now new presents had been added to the mix. The whole Weasley family was there, even Charlie had come home from Romania for Christmas.

Fred and George had still be in bed, having come to spend Christmas at their parent's house. Though it was late in the morning, early afternoon now, they had stayed up practically all night with Ron, playing Exploding Snap and the sort. Now, from the game, the results were strewn over their floor; there were rats that were scurrying into their unmarked experiment boxes, Wizard hats with fedoras and wild, colorful feathers on them lying on their dresser. Stretching, Fred was the first to wake, and he woke his brother with the throw of a pillow. "Oy! Presents!" he shouted and, just like when they were kids, he bounded out of bed and down the stairs, George groaning and following sluggishly, rubbing his still half-closed eyes.

Adrienne had been debating if she should come to the Burrow or not. She had stayed away for Christmas, though she still felt like she wanted to see George. They had never spent a Christmas together... this would have been the first.
But then again, they had never spent one of Georges birthdays togehter either, and Adrienne had decided that she couldnt stay away... she didnt want to. She didnt know if George would want to see her, but she guessed Mrs Weasley or someone would open the door, then maybe she could find out from her before she even saw George. If he didnt want to see her, then it would be easier on him if he didnt even have to know she had been around. So finally, Adrienne took a deep breath, and knocked.

Fred and George came down the stairs just as there was a knock on the door. While Fred was busy running around the tree, screaming, "PRESENTS! PRESENTS! PRESENTS!" George wandered into the kitchen. He gave his mom a kiss on the cheek and mumbled thanks, as she handed him a plate of eggs, toast, ham, and bacon. Looking around at everyone, picking up a fork, George heard knocking again. He figured that he was the only one who could hear it, as Fred's racket was so loud now that he began to shake each box that lay under the tree. Figuring that it was Lupin or Tonks come to join them, or another Order member, as they usually did for meals, George went to the door and opened it, the bit of toast in his mouth as he pulled on a t-shirt. His mouth fell open, however, when the shirt cleared his head and he saw who it was. "H-hi," he said quietly, the piece of toast falling to the ground as he stared at Adrienne. Was he really seeing this? She was there, right? It wasn't his imagination, as he had imagined seeing her so often since he'd been without her.

Adrienne smiled as she saw George, saw him staring at her, the toast falling from his mouth as he was obviously having enough difficulty believing she was here as she did him. "Happy birthday," Adrienne said, smiling at him before she couldnt stand it any longer. She moved closer, and wrapped her arm around his waist, pulling him to her. "You never did make the first move," she said, quietly, before her lips met his. It was soft, and gentle, but thats all it needed to be; she had gone so long without him that even brushing her lips against his felt like an explosion inside of her.

"Th-thank you," he said, still wondering if she was really there, or he was hallucinating. However, as soon as Adrienne hugged him, George knew he wasn't dreaming anymore. He put his arms around her as well, closing his eyes as he breathed her in. Finally, she was back in his arms, back where he thought she belonged. "You do it so much better than me," George assured her, when she said he never made the first move. Smiling, he kissed her back, just as soft, his grip on her tight as he held her body close to his.

Adrienne held onto George tightly, smiling slightly against his lips but not breaking the kiss. She deepened it, finally kissing him like she had been longing to for so long. She could hear his family moving around in the house, but she didnt care, and it was becoming more and more distant as everything around them faded away. She couldnt think of anything else... she couldnt even remember her own name anymore.

George returned the smile, moaning softly as she deepened the kiss. Taking the cue from Adrienne, he wrapped his arms more tightly around her, turning them around so that he could press her up against the door. Inside the house, he heard something crash and break, then his mum yelling at Fred for not watching where he was going. After Fred mumbled something, there were shouts of laughter, but George didn't care what was going on. For once he didn't need to know what was so funny, and why he wasn't a part of it. He had all he needed right here, outside with him.

Adrienne shivered as George pressed her up against the door, and she clutched at his shirt. Their kisses were becoming more heated, more desperate, as all she needed or wanted was him, and she didnt know how much longer she could have gone without him. The crashing noises made her slightly more aware that they were still at the Burrow, and that they would be a right sight for anyone who just did so much as walk into the hallway, but she didnt want to stop, not now or ever. She kept him as close to her as was possible, and could feel the warmth of his body against hers. That was all she could concentrate on; George, his warmth, his scent, his taste. She didnt even hear the footsteps drawing nearer.

George and Adrienne were still locked in their heated embrace when he heard footsteps. As reluctant as he was to pull away, he knew he did but, even though he thought he had done so in time, he heard a catcall whistle sounding from behind him, announcing Fred's arrival. "You better cut it short there, mate. Mum's coming this way with the rest of the brigade," he said, smirking at George as he walked around the table and waved to Adrienne. Smiling sheepishly at her, George grabbed Adrienne's hand and led her to the table, pulling out a chair for her then sitting beside her, right before the rest of his family entered.

Adrienne blushed as Fred whistled and rolled her eyes at him. "Honestly Fred..." she said. She was dissapointed that they had to 'cut it short' as Fred put it, but she knew it was for the best. "Er, George," She said, as she sat down in the chair he pulled out for her, and he sat down next to her. "Are you sure your family wont-" she never managed to finish her sentence. At that moment the entire Weasley family walked through the door, Mrs Weasley in the lead. She stopped, and looked at Adrienne, suprised, then at George, clearly looking at her son for an explanation.

George was shrugging to Adrienne's question, when she stopped talking. Looking up, he saw his mom and the rest of the family standing there, and just smiled, running a hand through his hair. "Uh...well, she was just...in the neighborhood and...." he trailed off and shrugged, not knowing what to say. He was sure that his mom wouldn't be upset by Adrienne being there and, as she moved across the table and hugged her, saying how much she missed having her around, as it made George completely miserable without her, he knew he had been right. Adrienne wasn't a burden, and always welcome at the Burrow.

Adrienne smiled gratfully as Mrs Weasley hugged her, glad that she didnt think she was any trouble. "Thanks, Mrs Weasley," she said, smiling, "Im glad to be here, and I hope you dont mind, since its George and Freds birthday and all..." Admittedly, that was one of the reasons she was there, but she didnt know if Mrs Weasley prefered it to be a family affair.

"Oh, no, no, don't be silly, child. You're practically family!" Mrs. Weasley beamed. Turning to face Adrienne, George smiled as well, as he took her hand in his underneath the table and the rest of his family settled around the table. Mrs. Weasley began to pass around the breakfast dishes, now that Fred had settled down enough, and shaken all the boxes, and broken his mum's favorite vase, they could all eat as a family, as usual. George continued to smile at Adrienne, glad that she was here to share it with him.

Adrienne held onto Georges hand under the table, stroking his fingers lightly. Their chairs were already close together, thanks to so many people being seated around the one table. She didnt want to let go of Georges hand, although she knew it would become rather obvious once they both started eating one handed. It would probobly earn them another whistle from Fred. Adrienne caught Georges eye, and smiled, getting lost as she looked at him. She leaned towards him and kissed him on the cheek gently, "I love you," she said, quietly in his ear, so only he would hear her, "happy birthday..."
