George was taken aback by her reaction, though he loved how the sound of Adrienne's laughter filled the whole kitchen. He joined in, unable to help it as hers was contagious. "It was the first thing I thought of," he admitted, shaking his head and still chuckling lightly. "Alright, babe. If you can do any better...what would you be?" he asked, looking at her and smiling.

"I dont know..." Adrienne said through her laughter, "and as hard as I might try I dont think I could beat your weird and wonderful animal... Ive never even heard of a blue feet... of a blue... of one of those things before." the rest of his family were looking at them, wondering what was so funny, but Adrienne hardly noticed. She tickled George in the ribs when she was unable to even name the 'thing'.

((dude, I know I said I would post a while ago, but I got caught up in the stupidities that are life. anyway, here it is for ya'. sorry again))
"Blue Footed Booby!" he said, a wide beam on his face, showing the boy's pride in such an awkwardly unfamiliar animal. Raising an eyebrow as Adrienne tried to tickle him, George merely pushed her hands off lightly, holding them in his own. A glance around the table showed him that they were the center of attention, but he could have cared less. Adrienne was his world, and she was the only person he could see right now, the only one who mattered. "They do a mating dance, instead of singing like some birds. I don't believe that they fly, but that's alright. Why need a flying Blue Footed Booby, when you can have a canary, right?" he said, giving her a meaningful look as he remembered the day they had confided their feelings for one another, and other such things that took place on that day.

Adrienne smiled, not looking around the table like George did, and therefore not realising that anyone was looking at them. "Yeh, ginger canaries are my favourite." she didnt try to get her hands free, glad to leave them in Georges. She remembered very well how George had used his Canary Cremes to transform into a slightly ginger canary and bounce on top of her head. That summer by the lake had been the best of her life; they had played about in the water, splashing eachother and transforming into flirtatious canaries whenever the mood took them.

"Personally, I prefer the darker ones but...to each his own, I guess, yeah?" he said, giving her a mock shrug before leaning in and resting his forehead on hers. Looking into Adrienne's eyes, George merely did that for some time. As he dove deeper into what he saw within her, which was everything, really, the sounds of those around them vanished and it was just the pair of them who existed, as it had been so many times before now. Squeezing her hands lightly, George winked at her and smiled slowly, placing a soft kiss on her cheek before pulling away and turning back to his plate of cake, though it was now nearly empty, and taking one hand reluctantly out of Adrienne's.

Adrienne stared into Georges eyes for the longest time, but she had forgotten about time... and those around them. Eventually they stopped looking at them and went back to talking among themselves, and she and George faded away into their own little world. She sighed when he pulled away, and let go of his one hand, but kept hold of the other. She rested against his shoulder, leaning back slightly in her chair. She looked outside; it was dark now, and snow was falling lightly. ((It actually was snowing here yesterday)) "Want to go for a walk?" she asked him quietly. "I.. I have your birthday present."
