Adrienne smiled sheepishly at Fred as he bounded into the room, raising his eyebrows before leaving. Adrienne turned back to George, and said, "I love you too," kissing him gently. "You were ok when we were broken up, right?" it had been worrying her for a while now. She had cried herself to sleep for the first few nights, as it felt like they really were broken up, but it got slightly easier as each day she just focused on when they would be together again. "I mean... you know, you had Fred and everything." What she was realy asking was 'was Fred there for you?' because she had been counting on it.

George laughed as his brother walked away and turned back to Adrienne. He frowned slightly at her question, not wanting to think about when they were apart, as it had been too hard for him. "Yeah, I guess. I mean, he kept me distracted. Made me laugh a bit," he said, shrugging. Fred was always good to have around when someone needed a person like that, to just help them get out of a slump. George was like that too, but it was a lot harder when it was him who was in the slump in the first place. "Were you alright?" he asked quietly, stroking her hair again.

"Good," Adrienne said. She didnt want to ask straight out 'was he there for you when you were crying' because a) he was a 'man' and therefore wanted to seem like one and b) both of the twins were 'men' and if they did show affection it was like any other 'man' did... high fives and stuff. If they hugged and acted like girls when they were alone, they didnt exactly want the world to know because it wasnt very 'manly'.
She too frowned slightly as he turned the question on her. "I was ok..." she said, "I cried more then I would have liked, I guess, but no one saw, so..." that was just as important to Adrienne as the actual crying. "but it was tough, I guess... there wasnt really anyone to... I mean, Tristan showed up, but that was only recently." she frowned as she remembered that time in the Hogs Head "You could have been more polite you know, he thinks you dont like him," she poked him playfully in the ribs.

George sighed when she said she'd cried, and he hugged her tightly, hating to hear Adrienne had shed tears. "Don't worry. We wont ever be apart like that again. I promise. All you have to do is remember that, no matter what, I love you," he said, smiling slightly when he pulled away.
Sighing again when she mentioned Tristan, though it was a different kind of sigh, George looked away for a moment then back to Adrienne. "Yeah, and he just wants to be my best mate, does he?" he said sarcastically. "I saw the way he was looking at you. I'm not stupid," he added, running a hand through his hair and looking around again.

"George," Adrienne said, "Tristans just a friend, ok, a really good friend. Ive known him for as long as I can remember... we grew up together." she didnt know if she had mentioned him or not, but it didnt matter, she knew Tristan was ok. "And I dont think your stupid. She hugged him tightly. "You have nothing to worry about, ok? Even if you dont trust Tristan, trust me." She paused, as she thought that maybe she should tell him what happened when she had stayed at Tristans. It didnt seem that important, but she didnt want to hide things from him and she felt slightly guilty. "Especially when I tell you what Im about to tell you... ok?"

"Yeah, you're right," he said, sighing and shaking his head. George had actually begun to smile, thinking that, if Adrienne said Tristan was alright, he couldn't be bad, when he heard her next words. Pulling away from her more, to look down into her face entirely, George raised his eyebrows. "Uh...okay," he said slowly though, as her words were so evasive, meaning anything, he wasn't sure how to his word he'd be able to stick.

"OK, well.." Adrienne kept close to George, her hands on his arms, reassuring him. "after the three broomsticks Tristan and me when back to his new place... since he finally had a place of his own and all... and, well, it got really late and since theres a curfew he said I should stay at his for that night, but he only had the one bed, so... so..." she saw the look on Georges face, "It was a double bed! Pleanty of room, except... well I must have rolled over in the night because when I woke up I was sort of... holding him. I must have thought he was you!" she tried to explain, realising how bad it sounded. "But nothing happend I swear."

As soon as Adrienne started talking, George knew he wasn't going to like it. He stiffened and kept his arms around her, though his grip loosened on her considerably. Taking a deep breath, he forced himself to keep calm and just looked at her, gritting his teeth. When she finally stopped talking, George let go of her and stepped back. "Right, Adrienne. Nothing wrong with that at all. How would you feel if I did that with...with...Billie or someone?" he asked, running a hand through his hair and saying the first name he could think of.

Adriennes pleading look turned to a scowl, though it was half hearted. "I would hate it." she said, not beating around the bush, "But it was an accident, George, we were broken up and even before that I had been sleeping alone every night. I was asleep. Its not like I had much control... I thought he was you..." the last thing she wanted was to hurt him, "I didnt even think it was that big a deal... I only told you because.... because I didnt want to keep it from you."

"You keep saying you thought he was me, but how can you? You know what I feel like Adrienne, and our body builds are not similar at all. You must have really been dreaming had you mistaken him for me and, the way you sleep with me, considering you did think it was me....I can believe that nothing happened, but if you really thought he was me, that would have been one hell of an embrace, wouldn't it?" he asked, his voice calm though his eyes had grown darker as he forced himself to remain that way.

"George... as soon as I even started to wake up I realised," Adrienne said, scared that she had ruined everything again. "and then I got up and dressed and stayed in the kitchen until he woke up..." she had been holding Tristan the same way she held George, but she didnt want to confirm it. Instead she just didnt deny that part... which she knew was the same thing anyway and George would see that. "Ands its been so long since Ive held you..." she said, slightly quieter then before. Maybe she had just been glad at being able to think it was George, and hadnt pushed away.

"That doesn't make it okay. You think I've enjoyed being apart from you? Do you think I haven't missed holding you?" he asked, his anger still apparent as he noticed she'd neither confirmed nor denied how she'd been holding Tristan. "This is not something to be excused, Adrienne. You can't make me believe that it was okay because you thought it was me, because you missed me, cause you know full well you wouldn't be so forgiving if our situations had changed and it was me who had shared a bed with another girl, and held her like I would you," he said, keeping his voice down so his family wouldn't hear them. Running a hand through his hair again, George groaned, hating that they were fighting, but not being able to take it was okay.

"Im not expecting you to think its ok, or to just excuse it. I know you've missed me too... Im sorry, it was one slip up in the whole time we were apart, and it wasnt even a concious one. I know I wouldnt be happy with you holding some other girl..." she paused, looking up at him, trying to fight tears as she realised that their relationship was getting harder and harder to mend, "But I would forgive you... thats what it comes down to, in the end, doesnt it. But I dont expect you to forgive me." she didnt think he ever truly had, but she wanted to think so.

George took deep breaths and shook his head again, looking anywhere but at Adrienne until he had calmed down. They had been apart and, well, even though that was apparent...."We were on a break. We weren't broken up. There's a difference," he said, though his eyes showed her that his mood now matched his calm tone. "I just don't like the idea of you holding someone else like that. It's not...natural," he said, not thinking of another word for it. Sighing, George sat down in the chair that he'd pulled her up from earlier and ran his hands through his hair again. "It's alright. Don't worry about it. Just...how does Tristan really feel about you?" he asked, though the answer to that question wouldn't change the fact that he wouldn't bring this up again. Adrienne would forgive George, because she loved him. George loved her more than anything, and more than anything he wanted to forgive her, so he did.

Adrienne looked at George, so relieved that he had forgiven her that she almost burst into tears. She was so glad he was calm again, that he didnt hate or resent her. "George," she said, throwing her arms around him before she said anything else. He was sitting, so she ended up half kneeling on the floor, holding him tightly. "We're just friends..." she promised, breathing him in and finding it helped her get a better control of herself.
((She doesnt know Tristan likes her... she thinks he is just a good friend so she will be mad at him when he turns it around... haha))
