George wasn't expecting Adrienne to kiss him, but he was more than grateful for it as he looked back at her. "I love you too," he whispered back, kissing her lightly on the cheek, having to restrain himself from kissing her lips again. After squeezing her hand lightly, George let it go to take the bowl of eggs that was being passed towards him. Smiling, he listened to his family as they talked, laughing and cracking a joke or two along with his brother. It had been a really long time since he'd been this happy, and George knew it had everything to do with the girl beside him.

Adrienne began to eat, smiling and laughing at all the jokes, somehow finding them even funnier when it was George telling one; he always knew how to make her laugh. Fred and George together, laughing and joking, was nice to see, and she was very glad that George had had Fred when they had been 'on a break'. It was difficult not to think about the kiss before, their first one in weeks, and she tried to keep her mind on the conversation, and not planning where they could next be alone, next time for considerably longer.

When the bellies began to get full, and Fred, George and the rest of the Weasley men could no longer eat anymore of Mrs. Weasley's delicious cooking, she waved her wand and all the dirty dishes sailed over their heads and into the sink. As she set them to washing themselves, she turned back to all her children and beamed. "Oh, it's so great to have the whole family together at last! Percy would've-" but she stopped short, looking at her husband fiercely, whose face had gone stony.
Clearing his throat, George said, "Er...mum? Might we go out to the sitting room now and-"
"Open presents!" Fred finished though, admittedly, that hadn't been what George was going to say. Frowning slightly, he had to laugh when his brother bounded out of the room. Everyone else's composure relaxing as well, George pushed his chair back from the table and pulled Adrienne's out, holding his hand out for hers and smiling.

Adrienne took Georges hand, and stood up, deliberatly taking her time so that the excited Weasley family made it in first, and Adrienne and George had a moment to themselves. "Not what you had in mind?" She asked, wrapping her arms around his waist. "God I missed you... Ive not been able to eat a proper meal like that since we 'went on a break'. Oh yeh, next time you have an idea like that, Ill hit you with a stick." she smiled, and stood up on her tip-toes, scrunching up her nose and rubbing it against his playfully. She was just so happy to have him back, she couldnt help the jokes.

"I missed you too," he said, smiling and brushing a strand of hair behind her ears. George's smile faded, however, when he heard that she hadn't been eating very well, and he felt awful. He laughed, though, as Adrienne wrinkled her nose and threatened him. "Hey now, you were the one that agreed, remember?" he teased her, tickling her sides and winking at her, before giving her a quick kiss on the lips. Smiling again, George led her into the sitting room with the rest of the family and took a seat beside Fred on the floor, who was now separating their presents.

Adrienne sat down in a chair, watching Fred and George. Fred really didnt look like he could wait any longer. She smiled, thinking that if the presents made George half as happy as they did Fred, it would be fun to see. She had a present for George, but it was something she wanted to give to him later, in private ((And no its not THAT haha)). She started to wonder if she should have gotten Fred something too, but decided she could make it up to him by buying him an ice cream or something next time she was in Diagon Alley.

As Fred began to tear into his gifts, exclaiming and smiling and laughing, George did the same. It was hard not to catch some of his brother's enthusiasm and, when it came to stuff like this, they were both just big kids. They're actually just big kids in general, but it was around these times that it was more pronounced. Laughing as he pulled out not one, but two hand-knitted sweaters from his mom, George smiled; they both had the logo of their shop on it, and were in two different arrays of colors. Thanking everyone for their gifts, the twins settled onto the floor, George looking up at Adrienne in her chair and Fred opening what looked to be a book, but was really a hand-by-hand guide of how to break curses; from Bill, of course.

Adrienne smiled at George, amused by his enthusiasm for presents. She wanted to be closer to him, and resisted the urge to ruffle his hair; for once, he was shorter then her, and she had had her hair messed up a fair amount of times herself. She was just happy George was happy... it was hard not to be. It was infectious. She knew he was really just a kid at heart. One of the reasons she loved him. Adrienne sighed quietly and happily to herself. She could hardly wait until they were alone together, so she could tell him how much she loved him, how perfect he was, how much she wanted him to be happy, to just hold him and make everything that was hard or painfull for him to go away. It was harder still to wait, because it had been such a horribly long time since she had been able to... they had been on a break, and before that they were fighting a lot. But she knew that sort of thing was definitly best left to when they were alone. It was private.. and she thought George might get embarrassed if she started gushing about how much she loved him in front of his family.

When the presents were all unwrapped, and the garbage had been cleared with the sweep of a wand, Mrs. Weasley got up and went to the kitchen. She came back shortly, nodded at Mr. Weasley, who dimmed the lights, and started singing: "Happy birthday to you...."
The twins turned around and grinned, identical ear-to-ear grins. Their mom had made the cake in the shape of a Dungbomb for them. "Ah, memories," Fred said, wiping away fake tears as George patted him on the back sympathetically. Turning to Adrienne, George smiled and winked, watching her for a while as the rest of the family continued to sing.

Adrienne smiled, having never actualy done this before; while it was clear the rest of the family had expected it when the lights when down, Adrienne had been wondering what was going on, and found it pretty amusing when a cake, lit up with candles and in the shape of a dung bomb, came in and everyone started singing. She wasnt completly ignorant to this though; she knew the song, and sang along with the rest of them, catching Georges eye and winking back, like he had taught her to do, smiling at him. Everyone had a bit of trouble when it came to the names... ended up sounding more like a mixture of "Dear Fred... and George.." "George and Fred..." "Gred and Forge..."

Once everyone was done singing, they all started laughing, even Molly managing a smile. The twins always found it great when they didn't know what to call them together, and this was no exception. Smiling, Fred and George both neared the cake and blew the candles out. The flames went out and the candles flew into the air, bursting forth streamers and shouts of "Hooray!" and "Congratulations!"
Beaming, Fred turned to his mom and said, "You do care!" She had bought a Weasley Twins original item, which meant that she had willingly set foot into their shop. "And here we were, thinking you didn't like us," George joked, patting his mom on the shoulder and smiling.

Adrienne grinned as streamers flew in the air, thinking that only Fred and George would have looked at a birthday cake and thought 'Hmm, what could make this more interesting?'. She was just suprised there were no fireworks. Adrienne smiled as Fred and George joked around with their mom, feeling slightly awkward; she always got the impression that she got labled as 'the girlfriend' around the Weasleys... like someone was really thinking about when she would leave George and hurt him. She knew it couldnt be helped; most 17 year olds didnt fall in love like this.

((damn, I forgot the fireworks )) Molly rolled her eyes at the twins and walked back to the kitchen to cut the cake, though they could see her smile as she turned around. Beaming still, Fred piled up his gifts and went to take them to his room, while the rest of the family, still talking and laughing, followed Molly to the kitchen. George stayed behind with Adrienne, kicking the leg of her chair for a moment before pulling her up out of it, and into his arms. "Hi," he said, smiling as he held her close. "I'm glad you're here," he told her sincerely, kissing her lips softly while they had a moment.

Adrienne jumped slightly as George kicked her chair, and rolled her eyes at him, but before she could manage to do that properly George had pulled her out of the chair. She wrapped her arms around his waist, slightly under his shirt just to feel his skin, "Im glad to be here," she said, before he kissed her. She kept it soft, resisting the urge to deepen it, though she was sure that the way her hands moved around his waist would let him know what she was thinking. As corny as it was, her knees felt weak, but she guessed it was a cliche for a reason. She was just glad George was there to keep her upright.

George held in a shiver when he felt her hands on his bare skin, and he smiled into the kiss. He pulled away from her slowly, letting the kiss linger between them for a moment. "I love you," he whispered, looking into her eyes and smiling again. Stroking her hair softly, his gaze didn't waver from Adrienne until he heard footsteps. Grinning, George turned his head to face his brother, his arms still around Adrienne. Fred raised his eyebrows at the two and winked at George, before disappearing into the kitchen as their mom called, "Come and get it!"
