George was in the apartment, waiting for Adrienne and making lunch. He hoped that she'd gotten out of the castle okay, as he wasn't really sure what time to be expecting her. The last thing George wanted to think about was what it would be if she had been caught last night, so he tried to busy himself away from that.
Opening the fridge, he pulled out the fixings for sandwiches and set it all on the counter behind him. Pulling the bread out of the cupboard on said counter, George began making sandwiches, his mind elsewhere and his ears trained for the sound of someone coming up the stairs to the apartment.

Adrienne shouldnt have been due at George for anothe hour at least, but she couldnt wait any longer then she already had. She had skipped her last lesson- potions- and gotten out of the school undetected. She smiled as she hurried up the stairs that lead to Georges appartment.
When she reached th door at the top she went striaght in without knocking, and looked around for George.

George's head turned when he heard the rush of footsteps and, dropping what he was doing, he went to the door to meet Adrienne. "Hey, you!" he said, smiling broadly as she entered and sweeping her into his arms immediately. He held her tightly for a moment, just dwelling in the fact that she was there and hadn't gotten caught or in trouble.

Adrienne wrapped her arms around George as she was almost lifted off her feet by his hug. "Hey you," she said, smiling and still hugging him. "I dont think anyones been as pleased to see me in my life," she loosened her grip on him slightly, though stayed close, beaming at him. It was as if they had acomplished some great feat just being able to be together now.

George chuckled and held her steady as he loosened his grip too. "Well, get used to it. I've been missing you more than I had realized lately," he said, one of his hands stroking Adrienne's hair lightly. Though George wouldn't voice his intense fears to her, he knew that he would now spend each moment with Adrienne as if it were their last because, with what was going on in the world around them, it could just be at any moment.
Not wanting to think about that now, George kissed her softly before leading her away from the door and closing it. He waved his wand behind him and the door sealed itself magically, not allowing anyone but another real Weasley to be able to unlock it.

Adrienne smiled against Georges lips as she kissed him back, her arms snaking around his waist. "I really have missed you..." she said, against his lips, before kissing him again, her hands gently moving to hold him closer.
She knew that any time they were together could be the last time they were... it was the same for everyone. And she wanted to make the most of what they had.

"Mmm," George said against her lips, returning the favor as she pulled him closer to her. He let himself sink into the kiss, his arms rubbing her back up and down slowly, but also keeping her close. "I love you so much," he whispered against her lips, before he stopped moving them altogether and sighed. It was a moment before George realized that something wasn't right with the atmosphere. "Do you...smell something?" he asked, pulling away from Adrienne and sniffing the air. "Oh, shit!" he yelled, as he saw what it was. Coming from the kitchen counter, where the toaster was, black smoke billowed from the appliance. "Damn, I forgot!" George said, rushing to the burning instrument and unplugging it quickly.

Adrienne couldnt help but laugh at Georges panic. "Looks like neither one of us is a great cook," she said, "what will we do in the future... we'll starve." she smiled, taking her wand out and coming up behind him, making the smoke dissapear with a wave of her wand. "Dont worry about it," she said, setting her wand down on the counter, and wrapping her arms around his waist from behind. "We'll survive..."

The sound of her saying the word 'future' struck George, and he tried to push away the voice in the bafck of his head that said, 'What if there is no future?' He smiled as she came up to him and held her hands as they fell around him. "Muggles order take-out all the time, right? I'm sure we can think of something. Or, if all else fails," George waved his wand at the freezer and it popped open, multiple tv dinners toppling out. "Voile. Instant dinners."

Adrienne smiled as she looked at the over flowing fridge. "Perfect," she said, "We might need that tonight, actually. Im not planning on going anywhere till I have to, I skipped potions to come here early and who knows when Ill be able to do that again," she kissed the back of his neck, reaching up to do so.

"Shame you had to miss potions, but I'm sure you'll survive," he said, laughing slightly. "Stay as long as you like....Stay forever if you want to," George said quietly, shivering slightly as she kissed the back of his neck. He turned around in her arms and wrapped his around Adrienne as well, taking her lips slowly into his again.

Adrienne smiled against Georges lips, kissing him slowly and softly. "Its been too long since we have been able to be like this," she said, "undisturbed." At the Burrow someone would always come in, she could never be fully relaxed with George, except for when she would sneak into his room at night.

"Too long...but it never has to be that long again," he said, kissing her slowly as he spoke, keeping his arms around her tightly. "So, are you hungry?" George asked, though he kept his hands on Adrienne as he nodded to the counter behind him. "Before this minor disaster, I was on the verge of making lunch," he said, now frowning at the blackened toast. "No worries," George said, picking up his wand and waving it. The charred was stripped off the toast and it was perfectly brown and crisp, just the way it was supposed to be.

Adrienne looked at the burnt toast. "Erm," she said, "how about one of those TV dinners? Now those I can make... I may not be great with pancakes but I can do some things..." truth be told, she wasnt really hungry at the moment, but she didnt mind having dinner.

"They can work for me. As long as I get fed, I'll be happy," George said, pulling away from Adrienne just to reach the freezer. After taking out a few meals, he pushed the rest into the icebox and pushed it closed. "So...Chicken and Biscuits, or Chinese Goulash?" George asked, holding up each dinner as he said it's name and making a disgusted face at the word 'goulash.'
