"What talk?" Ron snapped back, rather meanly considering the pair had been talking casually. But he was right, all she'd done was mope about. "You havn't been talking Hermione." He said this more calmly. "You're not trying to be positive at all."
Looking at Hermione, he poked her in the side. "I just want to see that good old Hermione grin." He felt lame for saying this but it would be nice to see her smile like she used to.

Hermione looked down at the ground, he was right, she had been moping around lately, not being herself. But it wasnt he fualt, she wanted him to understand that, even if it seemed as though it would be easy just to smile.
"Ron, not all of us can fake a smile, expesially me, we all know that Im a terrible liar, sure Ive been improving, buit I cant act as though everythings fine, unless Harry's around, and thats only because I know he'll tell me that Im not gonna go anywhere but here, while he goes and risks his life" she blabbed out again "Oh And dont shout at me" she snapped, then walked the other way, away from Ron

Looking down, Ron felt bad. He knew he wans't under as much pressure as Hermione, but he was finding it hard not to crazk. Ron just wanted everyone to be happy and all he had was comic relief.
Walking towards Hermione, he stopped centimetres behind her. "I'm sorry..." He muttered, fighting the urge to hug her.

Hermione didnt turn around to face Ron, she couldnt. "For what?" she questioned. Hermione finally faced him, she could hardly stand it though, she wanted to relax, but at the same time, she didnt want to let her quard down, which she had done very rarely, infact, never around Harry or Ron, she had always hid her emotions if she wasnt proud of them. Hermione knew that it was stupid though

"For everything...." Half shrugging, Ron looked down, thinking what to say next. Looking up he smiled half-heartedly. "For what you're going through. For trying to force you to be happy... For..For..." Stuttering he fought the urge to spill his feelings to Hermione. He knew if he did, it would make this all the more confusing for his friend.
Putting his hand on her shoulder, Ron looked right into Hermione's eyes. "You know I'm always going to be here for you..." This was as close as he would get to admitting everything.

Hermione tried to smile at Ron's comment. "I know you will be. But you just got to understand, and Im sure you know, weve got a tough fight ahead of us. Its not gonna be easy" Hermione answered.
Hermione, for the second time today finally smiled as she looked into Ron's eyes, she knew that something was bothering him, but she didnt know what. Hermione decided to not ask any questions

Removing his hand from her shoulder, Ron looked away. Hermione was right, it wasn't going to be easy. Infact, this would probably be the hardest moment of their lives. Still looking towards the lake, Ronald spoke. "We'll get through this. I know we will. Not to mention you're about the toughtest girl I've ever met." Smiling and almost laughing, Ron glanced at Hermione, before returning his gaze to the lake.

Hermione returned the watery laugh at Ron's comment. "But that might not be enough. I admit, I havent been myself lately, so I might not be the strongest girl youve ever met any more" Hermione continued. She just wanted to wrap her arms around Ron's waist, and cry into him, she wanted so much to do that. This time, Hermione couldnt stop the slient tears roll down her face, she was just too confused at the moment. Not only with the battle, and her parents, but when ever she was around Ron, she felt butterflies in a her stomach, for a lack of a better term

Watching the tears roll down Hermione's face, Ron felt his heart ache. He wanted nothing more then for her to be happy. That's it... Ron thought and before he could stop himself, he'd grabbed Hermione into a huge hug, squeezing her tightly as if he'd never let her go. "Please don't cry..." He whispered into her ear like a small gust of wind.

Hermione was taken aback, but put her arms around Ron's neck & rested her head on his cheast, in afirned type of way, she bit her lip. Hermione didnt want to let go of him, she just felt safe for the first time since she, they came back to the school. Her tears were still silent, and she was happy that they didnt stand out that much, also that she didnt put any Mascarra on that day.

Ron put his hand on the back of her head, carressing her hair, just wanting her to feel safe. Although he wouldn't admit it to Hermione, he almost felt himself becoming slightly teary. He hugged her even tighter, closing his eyes and taking slow deep breaths. Ron had nothing to say and he didn't want this embrace to end.

Hermione couldnt help but smile. Cuasually, she broke the embrace, wipped a tear out of her eye, smiled, then looked up at Ron. She had been debsting with herself if she should of stayed in his arms, or actually looked up at him. "Thanks" was all she could say without making a complete ass of herself. The moment she was in Ron's arms was all she needed to pull herself together, it was almost perfect, if it wasnt for the furius butterflies.

Shoving his hands straight into his pockets, Ron couldn't help but feel awkward. For that one moment, it felt as if they had crossed over from friends into something more.. Noddding as she thanked him, he looked anywhere but at Hermione. It was at this moment that Ron confirmed what he had thought. He no longer felt the same for Hermione as he had once down. Ron now knew why he constantly argued with Hermione...

Hermione felt her smile turn back to a straight face. "Ron, look at me" she said, more like a beg. She looked at him. "Is something wrong?" she asked him. Hermione could tell that when ever Ron resisted to look at her, which was when she knew that something was up. Hermione waited for Ron's answer patiently, but worried

Ron didn't look at her. Nothing was wrong. It fact on the inside he was almost ecstatic. He had reaslised he cared for Hermione more then anyone else, in a way he'd never experienced. "Nothing's wrong." He told her as he finally faced her. Ron wasn't ready to tell her what he had realised, he didn't think she would be either. He would wait until the perfect moment...
