(so far we've figured out that Adrienne ran away but was then captured by Deatheaters and has been gone for a year, and George has a new girlfriend...so lets go from there ) Adrienne felt slightly numb. Here she was, on the Hogwarts grounds for the first time in year... and it felt like a dream. Nothing seemed real. After the hellish year she had had the familiar peace of Hogwarts seemed too good to be true. And yet here she was... Ok, not exactly in the centre of things; she was walking along the edge of the Forbidden Forest. But there was no need to dive in head first. She was nervous enough... best to ease herself back into it. A year ago she had run away. From the school, from her friends, her 'family'... everyone and everything. Bonds were breaking and it was becoming far too dangerous. They were loosing the war. And she was a marked man (well, woman). Because of her fathers deatheater connection and untimely (in some peoples opinion, not Adrienne's) death, she was wanted for... well, just for that. Wanted. For no reason other then the sadistic ones a normal person couldn't understand. Having her meant a certain amount of power... it meant tying up a loose end, however small. After being locked up and tortured, she had finally escaped. But still she hadn't gone back... not until now, anyway. One person drew her back to this place... she knew he wouldn't be here (though part of her hoped) and that she wouldn't see him. But would he want to see her? Would he remember her? She felt sick at the thought that she might not matter to him any more... but then, why should she? She had left. But still, she had to see him. She had to know. That boy she had met so many years ago... George Weasley.

George didn't know why he still spent time on the Hogwarts grounds, especially after all the time that had passed since he'd last done anything memorable on them. There was also the fact that his reason for being around Hogwarts was gone; had simply vanished out of his life without an explanation, or even a goodbye. Not used to rejection, what he had experienced was nothing compared to how how he'd felt the night he found out his girlfriend, the one he'd fallen so deeply in love with, had disappeared without a trace.
Of course, his first reaction was that she was in danger, and so he'd spent the better part of the first three months looking for her, trying to find out where she'd gone off to, only to come up empty-handed. After half a year, he finally gave in to the pleas of his friends and family; as far as they knew, anyway. He had stopped openly looking for her, but knew in his heart that he would never be complete or even who he was without her.
He'd moved on, though, had taken his family's advice and allowed himself to pick up on the signals of a girl who enjoyed his company. She was a "nice girl," his mother said, and George couldn't help be agree. She was nice. And she was smart and funny and seemed to adore him completely. He was hesitant where she was concerned, though, for there was something missing, something "wrong" with her that he knew no one aside from his brother Fred would take to hearing lightly: she wasn't Adrienne.
No, she wasn't Adrienne, and she would never be, and that was painfully obvious to George that he didn't know why he kept this other girl around. He felt guilty, to be honest, and those guilty feelings only reared tenfold when he ventured onto the school grounds, the grace of which he was permitted by helping the school with additional security. It was part of his job that kept him coming back to the place he met her, part of his job that had him leaving his home at all hours of the night. Not to mention the new girl in his life; his guilt was ever-consuming, especially on nights like this; nights when he had no reason to be on grounds, but lingered in the hopes that perhaps she'd walk across the courtyard towards him, her arms wide and waiting, a brilliant smile on that beautiful face he would always remember.
Shaking his head, George raked a hand through his hair. He turned to go and started to walk towards the castle gates, but paused as something cause his eye in the distance. Frowning, he checked his watch and, just as he thought, noted that it was past curfew. Surely any student on the grounds now was in line for a detention. However, the most George would ever do was convince them to go back up to the comfort and safety of their dorm room. As he brandished his wand he whispered "Lumos" and stepped forward. From what he could see, the figure was just on the edge of the Forbidden Forest. Who in their right mind would go wandering around the Forest at night? Well, besides him and his brother in their hay day, of course.
Creeping closer to the figure, he realized that it was a girl and so he cleared his throat loudly, so as not to startle her. However, when he got close enough to make out more pronounced features, thanks to the moonlight, it was George who was startled. He nearly dropped his wand in surprise, and practically tripped over his feet as he hurried over to the girl. Stopping a few feet behind her, his wand still lit and raised, he reached out a hand for hers, only to drop it almost instantly. "No," he whispered, shaking his head. "It can't be....You can't be...."

Adrienne froze when she heard someone coming up behind her, shaken from her day dream instantly. At first overwhelming fear took over, bringing with it the adrenaline; she had been living in fear for too long to react any differently, and she realised now that she had let her guard down. Her hand went to her wand and she slid it slowly out of her back pocket, trying to calm down, trying to think.
When her mind stopped racing and she began to think clearly, she remembered where she was. She was much safer at Hogwarts then anywhere else, she knew that. Then again, she realised, dread slowly creeping back, she was right by the edge of the Forbidden Forest, and it was the dead of night... anything (or anyone) could be out here.
Why had she come back? Already things were going wrong. She jumped slightly as a light came from the direction of the sounds, pointed directly at her, casting a long shadow on the grass in front of her. Then she realised it was wand light, and her fear gave way to confusion. If someone were attacking her, surely lighting their wand and pointing it at her, giving away their position, wasn't the way to go about it.
Then she heard someone whispering... but couldn't make it out. Were they talking to her... or themselves? Or was there two of them? More maybe?
Finally Adrienne decided it was now or never, she had to turn around before she lost the chance to. They had definitely seen her now, there was no chance of running. She turned slowly, her wand still raised.
The sight that greeted her was more wonderful then she could have imagined, and yet more terrifying then if Voldemort himself had been stood before her. George. George was here. Now. Standing right in front of her... it wasn't a dream this time. Everything she had wished for and dreaded had come crashing down on her at once. She took a step towards him, then hesitated, momentarily speechless. She wanted to throw herself in his arms. Finally she managed to find her voice; "G..George?" it came out as a question, but to her it was so much more.

Frozen to the spot, George couldn't believe his eyes. He blinked a few times to ensure that he was awake, and slowly began to question his sanity. So he might be awake, but was what he was seeing real? He had longed and wished to see the girl standing before him for so long, was there a chance he was imagining the whole thing? Frowning slightly, he stepped closer, came into arm's reach of her so that his wandlight lit her up entirely. Slowly his eyes raked over her; being just as he remembered, except that more shadows of who she had been, who she was running from clouded her eyes; those eyes he that had been one of the the first things he fell in love with.
Swallowing his anxiety, he reached out a hand and touched it gently to her arm to find, in fact, that he wasn't seeing things. The only plausible explanation was that Adrienne had indeed come back, and she was standing in front of him, as if nothing had changed. But how? And this he asked her, his eyes wide, his hand still placed gently on her arm. "What happened? How did you get here? Where have you been? Why....?" He trailed off, narrowed his eyes and stepped past her, his eyes squinting as he raised his wand and peered into the darkness of the Forest. Not keen on the creatures that might try for an attack on two people who were distracted by each others' presence, as those that dwelled in the Forbidden Forest had become darker, more sinister and dangerous than ever, George took her hand and nudged her back, more towards the lake and away from the Forest, into the direct moonlight. "You need to explain," he said. And while it had been a demand, a questioning gaze was placed upon her; his voice was calm and gentle, for her was still afraid that he was dreaming, or that she might run away. And the last thing he wanted was to run her off so soon after he had just got her back. But did he really have her back?

Adrienne started slightly as George touched her arm, it had been so unexpected. She stared at him, hardly hearing the words he was saying, joy and terror competing for first place in her gut. Did he hate her? Would he, if he knew the truth? Or would the truth fix things? Had he changed... had she changed? What if he didn't want her any more. What if... what if he didn't feel the same. What if only she felt the rush of emotion as he took her hand. He was leading her somewhere but she didn't know where or why, all she cared about was his hand in hers.
It was a while before she realised she needed to speak. It had been so long, she found with dismay that she almost didn't know how to talk to him. Didn't know if he would understand.
And where to start... did he want the whole story?....and would it be too forward to kiss him now?
She decided to just tell him everything, and let him answer those questions for her. Keeping her hand in his, she looked away, remembering, and began: "I left because... because everything was falling apart. Because we were loosing the war. Because they were looking for me, you knew that. It would have been too dangerous for me to stay... dangerous for you, for everyone. And you know how it was, anyway... friendships were falling apart. We hadn't even spoken to Ron or Hermione or Adrin or anyone in months. And our relationship was next. "So I just... I ran. But not for long. They found me... I guess I always knew they would. It only took a month. After that I was locked up and... well, I don't want to go into details. I don't know how much time passed. It was dark, there were no windows, I couldn't even count the days. But I think it was months. It was warmer when I finally escaped. I don't know how I did it... I just snapped one day, I fought them and I won...wandless magic, if you can believe it. I havn't been able to do it since. But I still didn't come back..."

George waited patiently for her to tell her story, and while he was angry and confused and wanted nothing more than to make it all go away, he kept his hand in hers when she didn't pull away. He listened carefully, quietly, not showing any emotion on his face, keeping his ears aware of their surroundings, his eyes never leaving hers. When Adrienne was finished, he pulled his hand out of hers, slowly and reluctantly, to run it through his hair. Shaking his head shortly, he rubbed his face and let out a breath, lowering his wand an inch since their encounter began.
"I...don't know what to say," he replied honestly. What did she expect him to say? What could he say? He couldn't possibly tell her what this meant to him, her returning after all this time...and he especially couldn't tell her what his life was like at this moment. All he had ever wanted was her, he'd devoted himself to this girl standing before him, looking up at him expectantly, but she had left him.
Sighing, George lowered himself to the ground and sat, one leg drawn up, his wand arm draped over his knee. Staring at the lake, at the way the moonlight shimmered and danced on the water, it was a while before he spoke. His thoughts were in every which direction, it was hard for him to figure out what to say to her; though his main concentration was that she was back...she was standing just a few feet away from him, he had touched her...and his fingers and heart ached to have her in his arms, hold her properly and kiss her. But it would be wrong, technically, considering the circumstances of his present life.
"You left me...because everything was falling apart. The world was in a state of war - I get that," he said quietly, keeping his eyes on the lake, for he was sure he'd be unable to speak if he looked directly at her. "But there was nothing wrong with our relationship. I understand that we drifted apart from our friends, and that made you nervous - hell, I was nervous," and here he paused to flash her a sympathetic smile, but returned his gaze quickly to the lake. "There wasn't anything wrong with us," he repeated, forcing himself to hide the pain he felt and had been feeling since she was away. When it came down to it, he would have never thought that she'd run away from him, from them. He didn't know what was worse: the fact that she had claimed to love him but left; or the fact that her actions implied what everyone bitter had said to him after she'd done so.
"You had no viable proof that our relationship was the next one to go - you just left. Because you got scared? I was scared too, but I stuck it out because I loved you. I had loved you, Adrienne," and now he stood up and looked at her, his eyes no longer shadowing the hurt inside, "but you left me. Without a single word as to where you were going or when you might come back - if ever! You just left. How was I supposed to handle that? I looked for you! Spent months doing so out in the open, begging for others to help me. And when they stopped, told me to give it up and move on, that you weren't coming back and you were gone, I continued in private. I never stopped looking for you." And I never stopped loving you. But his thoughts weren't important enough at the moment to be spoken aloud, and so he kept them to himself.
Taking a breath, he calmed himself and looked back at the lake before he continued, his eyes meeting hers the next time he looked around. "You have no idea how glad I am to hear that you got away. I knew it was only a matter of time before you'd come back. I knew you'd come back, but.... I feared the worst, Adrienne. With no word from you, even after you had escaped...why didn't you come back? Why didn't you let me know that you were alright? You had to have known that I was worried sick about you! Why couldn't you have just let me know that you were okay?"

Adrienne stared at George, with what she expected was a blank expression on her face. Now that she had told her story- leaving out the gory details- things were starting to seem more real. Now the lines of communication had been opened.. and whatever came of it, good or bad, it was a relief. "Y-you...you looked for me?" she said it quietly, almost a whisper. She hadn't heard anything of anyone looking for her. Yes she had been careful, but she had hoped only careful enough to hide her from those she didn't want to find her. She took a breath and continued, sitting down next to George as she did, trying to stay close while making sure she wasn't too close to offend him. "I left because people were looking for me. Yes, I was scared of us falling apart, but mostly because it was dangerous, for you and for everyone, and I thought- wrongly- that I would have a better chance if I wasn't staying in one place, the one place they would know to find me. "And I didn't come back because... because I didn't know anyone was looking for me. I thought you had all moved on and assumed I had too, that I was fine, or as fine as I could be. I thought that if people were looking for me I'd know... maybe even someone would have rescued me... I was there for months. They... they..." she trailed off, her voice breaking. She closed her eyes, took a breath, and composed herself, before opening them quickly and hoping George hadn't noticed. All that was forgotten now, and it wasn't important.
"George... I didn't leave because of... don't think that I didn't still want... that I didn't...that I don't..." she couldn't bring herself to finish that sentence. The only thing she couldn't bear right now was his rejection.
At least, thats what she had thought until she let her gaze linger on his lips. Before she let his scent, so familiar that at times during the past year she had smelled it as clearly as if he had been standing next to her, wash over her. Her heart tightened and felt like it was really beating again for the first time in too long. And she realised that what she couldn't bear, even more so then George's rejection, was another moment apart from him. Before she knew what she was doing her arms wrapped around him and her lips were pressed to his, kissing him desperately.

George listened to her quietly, staying in control of all his pent up anger, frustration and, most importantly, hurt. He didn't need her to see that, not right now - if ever. He kept his eyes on the shining lake for the most part, only turning to look at her fully when she began to stutter a bit. Raising his eyebrows, he waited patiently for her to finish one of her sentences, but Adrienne seemed to be at a loss for words. However, she apparently had a different idea than conversation in mind. George had barely run his hands through his hair when he found her throwing herself at him, her arms wrapping around him. "Wha-?" he started, but was cut off the moment her lips pressed to his.
In shock, George didn't react for a moment. He simply stood there, stock still while she kissed him and held him until, coming to himself or, rather, giving in to his hormones, his arms began to slip around her as well. Slowly, they snaked their way around her body, pulling her close as his lips began to move over hers. Kissing her back ignited within him a fire that he knew had never really been extinguished. His brain having turned off, he held her tightly to him, his hands roving up and down her back, winding their way into her hair as the kiss became more deep and passionate.
It was, however, at the moment that his body shuddered from being with her in such a way, in remembrance of how they used to be together in more ways, that brought the young man back to reality. Grabbing hold of her shoulders tightly, he used all his effort to push her away from him, though making sure not to hold her. "I can't," he said, his eyes still closed as he tried to regulate his breathing. "Adrienne, it can't be this way. Not right now. I...." Running his hands through his hair, he pulled it in the end to display his aggravation. "Ugh!"
Shaking his head, George took a few steps back and began to pace under the moonlight, glancing back and forth to Adrienne as he tried to think of how to handle the situation, tried to think of what to tell her; all the while trying to ignore the tingling of his lips, the warmth that had flooded through him as he held her close and kissed her, the rapid beating of his heart as her scent continued to enclose him, even after he'd let her go. "Adrienne, it can't be like this. We need to....There are things we need to talk about, to discuss and get in order before we...." Taking a deep breath to steady himself again, George paused to collect his thoughts as best he could. "We need to talk. Don't think I don't want to be with you, to pick up right where we left off," - and as he said this, he remembered a pristine diamond that had been kept in his Gringotts vault since she had disappeared, but he shook his head to rid himself of that memory, knowing there was something more to him not selling it than sentimental value - "things have changed, and being who I am, I can't just jump back into it with you, no matter how I feel about you. We need to talk. Do you understand?" He finished, stepping close enough to her in order to sweep a strand of hair behind her ear.

Adrienne hadn't know what she expected when she kissed George. She knew he could easily push her away... and that if he had any sense he would. After all she'd done to him he could easily hate her. But when her kissed her back all those thoughts flew from her mind. When his arms wrapped around her and pulled her closer, suddenly she was back to that time a year ago, before she had left and they had been together. She deepened the kiss, her head spinning. His hands running through her hair made her whole body tingle. Her heart started beating faster and she pressed herself to him, forgetting where they were.
When he pushed her away she was surprised. She didn't realise what was happening at first... it took her a moment to come back to herself, to realise where they were, and for the past year to come flooding back to her. She was breathing fast, and couldn't find any words.
So she listened as he said what he needed to, and nodded. "Yes... yeah, I know, you're right. I agree, George we need to... we definitely need to talk... but I'm sorry. For everything, really I am. I don't know if you can ever forgive me, but... I am sorry, I'm so sorry." she paused, just staring at him. "And George... how I feel about you... it hasn't changed. I've missed you so much. Nothing about that has changed. "

"Oh, Adrienne," he said quietly, running a hand through his hair and sighing. "After all this time, I haven't stopped loving you. I could never do that. Even if I had wanted to and, believe me, at one point, I did; I still haven't been able to get past my feelings for you. You...you're my everything now, just as you had been before you left." Smiling softly, he put his hands into his pockets and bounced on the balls of his feet. "It's kinda late, you know. Do you know where you're staying yet?" he asked. Then, rethinking the question, he shook his head and quickly added, "I mean, if you don't have anywhere to go, I'm sure Fred won't mind if you crash on the sofa. I...I just don't think we should jump to anything. But I'm not saying I wouldn't like to." Finishing with a wink, he chuckled softly and watched her closely, still not believing that she was standing before him.
But then his mind changed route and his smile began to fade. He had just invited a girl to sleep on his couch. Not only that, but his ex-girlfriend, whom he was well-known to be in love with still. As if that wasn't bad enough, though, he was quite sure that his new girlfriend wouldn't take too kindly to it. Oh, Merlin, he thought, rubbing his face hard. Janie. He had forgotten all about her. It was clear how much she meant to him (not very much at all, quite frankly), but without taking that into consideration, she was still his girlfriend - even if only by assumption, and him never denying it. When asked, he'd simply shrug, shake his head and let her bubbly laugh cut through him like sharp knife. Every second he spent with her, he only thought of Adrienne. He only ever thought of Adrienne. But how could he possibly explain that to her? Worse yet, how could he explain it to Adrienne?
Putting his hands back into his pockets, he shook his head and looked back at her again. "It's getting late, and I have a big day tomorrow. We're releasing a new product at the shop," he said with a grin, his eyes sparkling in a way that only talking about Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes had been able to bring out of him; since Adrienne had been gone, at least. But now that she was back....Well, George was sure he'd be more inclined to smile. "So...where are you going for the night? If you're interested, the offer to stay with us still stands."

Adrienne smiled, for the first time in months, when George said he still loved her. She felt tears filling her eyes, but for the first time in such a long time they were tears of happiness and not despair. "George..." she said, quietly but full of affection. Adrienne had spent most of her time in the past year alone; she hadn't had any friends, acquaintances yes, but that was all. She spent most of her days alone, or trying to get money... the way she worked she had to interact with people. She had done some things she wasn't proud of. Mostly it was just working in bars, shops, doing an odd job, before she moved on to another area (it was dangerous to stay in one place too long) but there had been a stint at a strip club, and she had sold drugs a couple of times (the profit margin became much larger when you didn't pay to get them in the fist place and had no one to give a percentage to... stealing them became as easy as taking candy from a baby once she used magic. She could have used magic to steal food, etc., but that for her was crossing a line. When she stole she stole from thieves and criminals, not from hard working individuals. She admired them, because she had tried all her life to be one, but always ended up being less honest then she would have liked.)
When he asked where she was staying she paused, thinking about it for the first time since she had decided to show up at Hogwarts. Really she had no where to go... she couldn't have turned him down even if she wanted to... which she didn't. "I... I have no where to go, honestly. I guess I'll have to take you up on that offer..." she smiled and blushed slightly at his wink and suggestion. It wasn't that she hadn't heard a lot worse, or was shy, but this was different, there was something sincere and innocent about the way George was towards her, and that's what made her blush.
George looked far away for a moment, like he was thinking about something difficult... but of course he was, she had just showed up here. Tentatively, scared of being rejected, in spite of everything he had said, she moved towards him... she thought about hugging him straight out, but instead she just put her body close to his, rested her forehead on his shoulder, and put an arm around his waist. "I love you too." she said quietly.

George was stunned when she approached and held him, but not as surprised when she told him she loved him too. It wasn't that he didn't expect it, as she had already said her feelings towards him hadn't changed at all, it was simply that he hadn't expected to hear it. Or perhaps he had forgotten how hearing those words from her had affected him. Either way, shock only consumed him for a moment before he returned her gesture. Embracing her slowly, he lay her head on his chest and closed his eyes, breathing in the scent of her shampoo. "I love you so much," he whispered, stroking her hair. At the same time, George knew he was crossing a line - he had already crossed it. He didn't want to think about how she'd react to know he had been having a regular, er, space-saver of sorts. He almost didn't want to tell her, but he knew what it was like to have someone be dishonest with you, only to find out in the worst possible way. He didn't want Adrienne to feel that way, and especially not coming from him.
Taking a deep breath, he began to speak quietly, hoping for courage as he did so. "There's something you should know. Since you've been gone...I was devastated, the only thing I could do was look for you, all the while having everyone in every direction telling me that you had left me, run off because you didn't care about me, let alone love me. It was so hard having to hear it, day in and day out - you don't know what it was like." Pausing to take a breath, he pulled back and looked down at her. "You don't know how much I've missed you, how often I've wished for you to return...." Going off topic again, he offered her a half-smile and forced himself back on track. "A couple of weeks ago, I began to....Well, I met someone. Someone who was just a replacement, someone to help me soothe the ache in my heart that came from losing you. Needless to say, that didn't work very well - I still missed you every minute of every day."
Running a hand through his hair again, he loosened his grip and allowed his hands to fall to his sides. "I understand if you don't want to continue with this, you know. But I just needed you to know - even though this girl has been in my life for the past couple of weeks, it's only ever been you. It'll always be you, Adrienne. You're the only one I could ever love." Smiling weakly, he watched her, awaiting her next words like a prisoner awaited his walk to the gallows. He was nervous, fidgety, but also knew that what was coming to him was something he deserved.

Adrienne held George tighter when he responded to her, and squeezed him gently when he told her how much he'd been missing her. What he had gone through... had he believed what they had all said? That would have been terrible... at least Adrienne knew, even if she thought George wasn't looking for her, that he had loved her, as it was her choice to leave, not his... and he had done nothing to make her leave. She knew she loved him, and that he had loved her, although she had expected his love to have faded at least a little, that was nothing compared to what she would have felt if she thought he had 'run away'. From her.
So she listened, and breathed him in, held him tightly, anything to confirm that he really was there, and thought about a million ways she could make it up to him, all the ways she would comfort him and help him to heal.
When his talking started taking another direction though, she froze. Her first reaction was... jealousy. White hot and irrational, burning through her. If that other girl had been there now, well.. she wouldn't have been standing for long. Adrienne would have lashed out, and no magic, just instinct... probably while finding some way to insult the girls looks and intelligence, in that petty way that girls do, whether they know they have it in them or not. But that started to subside after a few seconds, and she still held on to George. She had had a few... 'space savers', herself. Just men who'd come and stay for a night, or two. There had been 3, maybe 4, and she couldn't remember at least one of their names. It had just been sex, a lot of the time she hadn't enjoyed it, and always she moved somewhere else afterwards. She could understand how George might have started seeing someone else... he wasn't the type to have one night stands. And she also understood how he could have missed her while with someone else- that she knew to be entirely possible.
She wanted to tell George all this, but she wasn't sure how he'd take it. "George... its OK, I understand... you were lonely and... honestly, there's been a few guys for me.... nothing serious!" she added hastily "not even close... and not even really enjoyable. Just... some guys, who'd stay for a night, or two... and I'd always move on to somewhere else right afterwards, I never stuck around... they weren't the nicest guys, anyway... and..." she looked up at him "all the time, with them, George I always wanted you... I want you..." her voice trailed off into silence, and she looked slightly fearful of the reaction her words would bring. She had told George she had been with other men, and then looked him in the eyes and told him she wanted him... when he had said he didnt want to take this at any sort of speed.

Taking a deep breath when she told him it was alright, that she understood, a half-smile began to appear on his face. However, it began to disappear again when she told him that she had had other men too - not man, men. Plural. His body tightened and he immediately began to relinquish his grip on her. However, when he looked into her eyes and saw the urgency for him to understand, the feeling of dislike dispersed and his heart swelled. "Adrienne....I don't care," he said, pulling her close to him again. "Whatever happened in the past, happened. We learn, we build, we move on. We can move on...together. If-if that's what you want," he said, though he was pretty sure it was what she wanted, as she'd told him she'd wanted him.
Smiling, he pulled away slightly, and put his hands on her face. "I love you, and that's all we need to know." Still smiling, he placed another kiss on her lips, a light, soft kiss, though he desperately wanted more. But, first thing's first: they needed to get settled, he had to get her somewhere safe for the night and, call him selfish, somewhere close to him. "Come on, why don't we go back to the shop? We can eat and then get some rest. What do you think?"

Adrienne had started to panic when George started pushing her away... but when he relaxed and smiled and told her he didn't care, she felt like all the barriers between them were starting to lift away. She was back... and that wasn't going to change any time soon. They could actually be together.
Her heart soared when he kissed her, and she wrapped her arms tightly around him, longing to deepen it, but she knew it wasnt what he wanted. Still, she couldn't help herself from pushing her lips harder into his, right before they ended the kiss. She too wanted more, just not right now "I love you too." she said, when they broke apart.
She sighed happily when he suggested going back to his place. It sounded like heaven to her, the first safe place she had been in a year, and possibly the first decent meal. The first warm bed, couch, whatever, safe made everything feel warmer. "That sounds... better then you know." she said, smiling widely. She hugged him again, thinking how amazing he was to welcome her back like this, and take such good care of her.
