Fred was in the Leaky Cauldron, en route into Diagon Alley. He had been hanging out in Muggle London, wreaking havoc on, or uh...studying the Muggles. He and George were thinking about adding another branch to their merchandise, one that was closely related to their Muggle jokes and tricks.
He was sitting at the bar, talking to the barman and yucking it up with the Sea Hag on his right side. Though it was dark and smoky in the bar, Fred's eye was trained on the hidden entrance, awaiting the arrival of a certain lady he hadn't seen in what felt like ages.

Elizabeth walked down the streets of London to the Leaky Cauldron, she was told to meet someone there but she didn't know exactly who it was. Since her sixth year she's missed Fred and George greatly, still to this second she has no idea how she survived the year without them at her side like always.
Elizabeth opened the door to the Leaky Cauldron and looked around the building, she couldn't believe her eyes when she saw the back of that familiar ginger haired fellow. "Fred!" Elizabeth could no longer contain her excitement, she ran over to him and hugged him straight away. "Hogwarts is so different without you and George around."

Fred chuckled as he was taken aback by the arms suddenly flung around him. "If you're going to greet me like this every time after a long separation, I'll remember to go away more often," he said, as he put his drink down and turned in his seat, to hug Elizabeth properly.
"It's always nice to know our work is appreciated and we're being missed," Fred told her, as he let his friend go and leaned back slightly, to take a better look at her. "Haven't changed a bit," he told her, ruffling her wavy hair and smirking, as he knew Valentine's hairdo was as superficial as she got.

Elizabeth couldn't help but smile, she sat in the seat next to him. She laughed at his first remark, "Right, I'm sure." Elizabeth looked at Fred while he was playing with her hair, "You still get amusement from my hair? I'll never understand why you like it so much anyway." Elizabeth sat in the seat and looked at Fred while smiling.
"So what have you been doing? Getting into no good I assume." Elizabeth truely was excited to see her much loved friend again, if she didn't get to see him just today she'd probably have gone a little loony. Sure, Adrienne's humor helps but nothing's better than seeing a true mastermind of humor himself.

"Ah, you know...a little of this...a little of that," Fred told her. He feigned surprise and offense as she suggested he was up to no good. "Moi!!! Why...whatever gave you that idea? I, Ms. Elizabeth, am not that type of person. No sir, no how," he said, shaking his head adamantly and frowning slightly, though it disappeared quickly when Tom the barman came around and placed another Loaded Firewhiskey in front of him, the top of which was crawling with flames.
"The usual, really. Running the shop...or running it into the ground," he said, shrugging nonchalantly as he thought of their latest catastrophe. "What about you? Get any detentions lately?" Fred asked, smiling at Elizabeth, eager to change the subject.

((AH! *hits self in head repeatedly* I am so sorry. I've had so much to do that I haven't logged on in AGES! I'd like to apologize! I hate how our school thinks we'd be bored without three hours of homework a night.))
Elizabeth smiled and looked at Fred while she laughed and used her left hand to pat his head, "Okay... you can believe whatever you want. Mr. Weasley." Elizabeth just sat there and smiled, listening to Fred's voice again was so peaceful to her sore ears.
"Well, what do you expect? Adrienne and I have to keep Hogwarts alive while you and George are gone, all grown up. Well... at least to those who don't know you two well. Besides... what do you mean 'running the shop into the ground'? What happend? You do know you can tell me anything. I know you probably don't want to talk about it but... can you resist me? You've never been able to before." Elizabeth gave him a grin hopefully easing him a bit.

((long time no post for me. sorry again, but here it is))
"I only believe what I know in my heart to be true," he assured her, sending her a small wink as, after putting out the flames, Fred took a drink. As the amber liquid burned his throat, he had never thought that it would feel so good as it did at that moment. Though Fred wasn't the type to 'drown his sorrows,' he also couldn't lie that sometimes all he needed was a stiff drink.
Laughing as Elizabeth told him that her and Adrienne were keeping it alive, with him and his brother gone, he sighed dramatically and draped an arm around her shoulders. "We are never truly gone. Not when Flitwick had a bit of our swamp roped off after we left," he said, smiling proudly, a reminiscent gleam in his eyes as he thought of his and George's last, infamous day of haggling Umbridge. Chuckling as Elizabeth told him that he had never been able to resist her, Fred tipped his drink in her direction and nodded. "A woman who speaks the truth," he said and, after another chuckle, took a drink of his Firewhiskey before answering. "I kind of exploded the shop, and we had to rebuild. Landed an employee in St. Mungo's as well. Thankfully, she was okay and, surprisingly, eager to return to working for us! Guess she's just one of the many who can't resist the charm of a Weasley twin," he said, grinning broadly and winking once more.
