Narcissa walked along the road, sparatically glancing into shop windows that appealed to her. She couldn't buy anything of course, Lucius had most of her money in his vault now, meaning she had very little to spend. This was her first day out of the house since Lucius had gone missing, and she was glad to have a change of scenery. As she walked along, she could feel the snow beginning to fall onto her hair and shoulders, but she didn't bother wiping it off. It was quite a cold day, and it wasn't getting any warmer. Narcissa stopped once again to look in the window of Madam Malkins, there was a beautiful dress there, she could picture herself in it at one of the Malfoy Family balls they held - but not now. She couldn't. Turning around to continue walking, she knocked into someone scurrying past.

Of all things to find himself in need of, Severus was in want of several wells of red ink. The first years seemed even more ridiculous this year than they had ever been before. The dunderheads...Mentally snarling, he figured quickly how much three wells of red ink would cost. After all, he needed quite a bit to write his comments along the fronts of their delightful essays. Just as he was tallying how much money he had on him at the moment, someone knocked into him near the front of Madam Malkin's. He curled his lips into a snarl and prepared to lash at the individual with his tongue, but the instant that he saw a full head of blonde tresses, Severus stopped in his tracks and even went so far as to steady the individual. He knew that head well, after all.
"Narcissa." He lifted an eyebrow as he stared down at her, not glaring but simply appearing impassive. When he was sure that she would not trip or fall, he removed his long-fingered hands from her shoulders and crossed his arms over his chest instead. He hadn't visited the Malfoy Manor since Lucius had gone missing. Indeed, Severus probably knew a bit more about that than any others. Such a thing was connected to the Dark Lord. It always was. He quirked his eyebrow a little farther up before clearing his throat and beginning to speak again, albeit a tad bit softer.
"You are well, I trust?" He hadn't asked the question, but it was clearly there, hanging in the air. How are you coping? Such a thing would be rude to ask in pure-blooded society in general, but in public...Merlin, it would be a cardinal sin. Awaiting her response, Severus's onyx eyes glimmered in the bright sunlight, his dark hair forming a bit of a curtain around his face.

Feeling the heavy hands pull away from her shoulders after they'd held her up, Narcissa looked up into the dark eyes of the new company she had. A slight smile spread across her deep red lips as she recognized the familiar face of the Hogwarts Professor, Severus Snape.
She'd known Severus for quite a long time, and knew very well that he also associated with the dark lord, Just as her husband did. There was a burning desire in her heart to ask if he knew anything of her other half, she just longed to ask him so many questions. There was so much she wanted to know, and she knew that he was most like to be oblivious to all the answers, but she had to ask. However, as a pureblood she had to show respect to all others alike her, and speak politely.
It was at that moment that Severus spoke, clearly and straight forward. Narcissa knew very well that he wasn't asking, it would have been improper to speak casual in public wizarding areas. She nodded politely and forced a slight smile to wards him, before asking him, "And yourself Severus?" She tried to hide all emotion in her voice, knowing that she may have been mocked if any sorrow or fear was detected.
Awaiting an answer, Narcissa moved a blond curl from her face, which had gone a little paler than usual in the cold air. (Sorry, Not a brilliant reply. Problems.)

Luna and Emma were happily strolling down Diagon Ally, giggling and joking about all the expensive items in the shop windows. As they passed Madam Malkin's, they didn't notice their Potions professor or Mrs. Malfoy. Instead, they were ogling the gorgeous dress in the window.
"Ooh, Luna look!" Emma pointed.
"It looks like it's made of satin!" Luna replied.
"Yeah, I bet it's really expensive, though."
"I bet, since satin is deadly to all sorts of harmful crreatures! Stuff like the Crumple Horned Snorkack and the Cellbar Toodleheimer!"
Emma burst out laughing, her short red hair bouncing. "Luna...you are so..." Emma trailed off and stopped laughing when she realized that Luna wasn't joking. "Oh. Well let's go see how much it is!" Emma ran past Snape, accidently brushing him. She stmbled and turned to apologize.
"Oh, I'm sorry sir, I..." She fell silent when she realized who it was.
